Helping Veterans Obtain
More Than Just Disability Benefits
As helpful, important and meaningful as a monthly VA disability benefits check can be, other benefits — benefits that can have an equally large impact on your quality of life — may be available as well.
At Bosley, McKown & Bratch, we are committed to helping disabled veterans obtain all of the benefits they are entitled to under both federal and state laws. Helping us to accomplish that goal are two attorneys (Wade R. Bosley and Ralph J. Bratch) with military experience (Mr. Bosley was among the first lawyers in the country to devote his practice solely to veterans' disability issues); a full-time professional investigator; and a large network of qualified physicians, psychologists and other medical specialists.
To put that experience and those resources to work for you — call us toll free from anywhere in the United States at 1-866-974-0705 or contact us online and someone from our office will get back to you shortly.
State and Federal Veterans' Benefits
In addition to disability benefits, the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs offers several other benefits to military veterans and their family members, including:
- Educational and training assistance
- Vocational rehabilitation and employment assistance
- Home loan guarantees
- Medical benefits (the higher the disability rating, the higher the level/types of VA care)
- Medical insurance to dependants
- Life insurance
In addition to these federally-provided benefits, the state where you live may offer others. Exactly what those benefits are is a bit too complicated to explain on a single Web page. We can, however, provide a few examples:
- $1,500 property tax exemptions for wartime veterans (CT)
- One-time 25 percent discounts for certain veterans on purchases or residential or recreational land (AK)
- Homestead tax exemptions for veterans with service-connected permanent and total disabilities (FL)
- Annual tuition grants of up to $2,800 for eligible children of some deceased or permanently disabled veterans (MI)
- Tuition waivers at state schools for the children and spouses of disabled or deceased veterans (IN & KY)
