FILING A CLAIM

Filing a claim with the VA is simple. You must complete an Application for Compensation (VA From 21-526) (link to form) or if the claim is for a surviving spouse or child by completing a VA Form 21-534 (link to form). Attached a copy of the veterans DD214 and any supporting military records, medical records and any other evidence that is relevant.

Mail the completed application and records (retain a copy for your records) to the nearest VA Regional Office in your state. Below is a list a VA Regional Offices:

NOTE: Applying for benefits can be confusing. The applications are long and complicated. Please contact our office for a free consultation if you have questions about filing an application.
